Summer is over. School is back in session for the DentonISD kids, with parents cheering while teachers sigh, and our universities UNT and TWU are starting back soon as well. Veterans Suicide Prevention Workshops | UNT Gateway Center | 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
September is National Suicide Prevention Month, and Denton County MHMR with the Denton County Military Veterans Peer Network (MVPN) are offering a free Suicide Awareness & Prevention event on the UNT Denton campus. Denton County MVPN is a local not-for-profit organization that works directly with veterans providing connections to community resources including access for free mental health screenings, peer groups, and a place to connect with other veterans. The event is free, but registration is required so veterans and their immediate family members will be provided with a free lunch. Proof of veteran status will be required. You should also check out the Veterans First Tiny Houses Fundraiser on Saturday.
